Noisy garage doors are usually caused by worn rollers loose hardware parts that need lubrication or an opener in need of anti vibration pads all simple fixes.
Garage door roller loose.
Move the garage door up and down until you find a place where the door stays suspended when you let go.
Then spray all the moving.
Garage door rollers can be purchased from your local hardware store or online.
Simply grab the round end of the current roller and pull it out of place.
Then take one of your new garage rollers and slide it into its spot on the hinge.
If that point is more than four feet or less than three feet above the ground you will need to balance the door.
When the bolts and nuts become loose they can cause your garage door to make a vibrating or rattling noise when you open and close it.
When your garage door opener chain becomes loose it creates a loud slapping sound and causes the rollers to smack against the track because of jerky door movements.
The problem being that after a period of time and use the metal around the ball bearings stretched and the roller would lean until the stem dragged on the roller thus causing drag until the ball bearings.
You shouldn t have to loosen or tighten any screws or nuts to change the roller.
